i took it off without telling them, i went out with them one day without it, they were upset and didn’t talk to me giving me the silent treatment but after a while they slowly began treating me like normal again but every time we go out there’s comments like “put it back on” “you look better with it”, it’s inevitable to have ur parents not side with you if they’re strict, just take it off and deal with their wrath it wont be forever 😢😢

there are creators here who talk about how hijab is unnecessary in islam. there's one very respectful lady who talks about it, I don't remember her name. she herself is hijabi only because she speaks to other muslim women and is worried that when she takes it off, people will stop taking her seriously.. there's a lot of creators who are very respectful about speaking about hijab not being required by quran.. u could always study how they talk about and repeat urself or simply show ur parents these video. i don't recommend showing videos of more aggressive takes cos it won't sit right with ur parents and they would get defensive.. good luckk

I just did it slowly. Started with a hoodie covering my head and then just let it slip off every now and then. To the point where I can go shops or out on my own without. Still have to wear it in front of relatives to keep up the reputation . But it’s better than nothing ig.

i dont really know about your parents but i dont recommend it. its so risky and not safe, you dont know how they would react even if it was just a recommendation without actually doing it. i hope you can be free as you like in a safe place soon or try to move out if this is possible
