It is fascinating bc I have heard conversations about the risks of glp1s fueling Ana and as someone on it, there are times when I have to eat when I don’t want to and am not really hungry. So I could see where it could become an excuse to not eat. I could see where it might risk being a problem/“tool” for bulimia as well. But this is the flip side of the coin especially on the side BED with food noise, I can see where it could be a godsend. I know for me, I was hungry all the time. Physical and mental (possibly in part due to fibromyalgia medication) so it has been such a reprieve from constant insatiable hunger for me. I hope that everyone in the recovery spaces can try to be sure they are doing individualized risk analysis bc it is clearly not a one size fits all answer.

this is so relatable. I realized I was thinking like an addict. it disturbed me. I remember the first couple of weeks of taking glp1 and on that last day of the week before the next shot, I'd get these intense cravings. I discribed it to my friend as a demon inside me that I couldn't stop. ... I really should get therapy

They're know to suppress urges for alot more than food. The science is already there and more is in process.
