I was just in Paris with a guy friend & he snatched my cinnamon roll out of my hand and ate it & laughed. Then put his trash in my espresso bc I didn’t share it. I ended up leaving & ghosting him, then blocked him on everything.

Growing up in African household it was the worse. Men expected to be served first. They never ever go to the market or to buy groceries. They never cook, never do dishes after nothing. They will just sit on the sofa watching tv with feet up drinking and eating for hours while women including (young girls) doing most of the shopping/cooking. This is so normalized especially in any get togethers/ parties or funerals. Women and little girls will eat nothing or eat last. Hide your food ladies.

My brother has celiac disease, once I made GF brownies and he ate 9/16. The next time I made brownies I put flour in them. My dad yelled and screamed at me for not accomodating his allergy. My brother and I were both teens at this point, so I don’t blame him. But I blame my father for his response.

Just an other example of men saying they want to go 50/50 while eating twice as much as their girlfriend/wife. Meanwhile girl dinner is a little charcuterie board or cereal or a few snacks. It’s so exhausting.

I remember this one time, I bought a box of biscotti cookies. My brother ate EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. And when I was rightfully pissed that he didn’t leave a single cookie for me, my mom had the nerve to shut me down and basically tell me to be quiet to keep the peace. 🙄

I grew up in a Swahili home in kenya it’s worse than what I see here in the USA. Women cook the food but men eat first if they are not in the home, my grandmother used to hide the whole pot of food away until the men are home to eat then the women and kids 🤬🤬🤬🤬

My parents didn’t allow this. They never deprived us of food, ever, but they made sure we understood resource were not unlimited. My ex was glutinous. It was sad after you understood why. He ate with his hands, ate to excess lke food wasn’t readily available. It was just too much!!

reading the comments remind me of this guy I was seeing in my v early 20’s. He had gotten me a cake, it was a variety box w 2 slices of each flavour and bottle of sparkling wine. I had left them at his place bc I didn’t have a fridge at the time to store them in. When I went to collect it the next day to put them in my work fridge, he ate and drank it all. I didn’t understand why I was upset at the time but that added a boundary for me. I couldn’t believe it

It’s infuriating. I used to just let it go but it’s really getting to me now. I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and I have some other food allergies too so I’m limited in what I can eat. My husband will eat all my snacks and the food I make for my lunches for work and stuff too. Like why can’t you just eat the other things we have. My food costs more just leave it for me. I pay for all the groceries.

Back when I still allowed men in my house, I had two different male guests eat my extra take out TWICE while I was asleep. I used to order two meals when I ordered delivery to only pay the fees once and eat twice. I woke up ready to eat my McDonald’s in the fridge and he goes oh I ate that. I was like WHAT?! Gtfo now. He said it like it was the most normal thing ever. I’m mad typing this. They would say it with some grin I swear like a bad little kid. I want nothing to do with men ever again. It’s nothing but stress!
