So sometimes back I was at a rave with a friend and, because of something that happened, I got quite angry with him and eventually left him to go somewhere else in the crowd. I had taken Molly around that time, and later, when it kicked in, I realised that I wasn’t feeling angry anymore. Instead, I really wanted to forgive him and find him again.
Thinking about it after the party, I realised my actual opinion about what had happened hadn’t changed. I hadn’t received any closure or new information, and I hadn’t suddenly realised that I was wrong about something. There wasn’t really a new reason for me to stop being angry or forgive somebody their actions. I’m not sure if forgiveness falls under the category empathy. I don’t think I became more understanding of his perspective or changed my view of the argument. It felt more like I changed my boundaries, or perhaps how much I value those boundaries rather than other peoples’.

The worst bad trip I ever had—and one that didn't teach me anything—was on a pink "Tiger Head"🐯 ecstasy pill. It involved nothing but unpleasant hallucinations. I’ve taken ecstasy and Molly many times, both before and since, always with good vibes, ❤️so there was likely something about that specific Tiger pill that just didn't agree with my brain😒. My friends who took the same pills didn't experience any more hallucinations than what is typical for ecstasy. I should also add that I was the only one in the group who had previously experienced hallucinations on mushrooms (without having bad trips). It goes to show just how differently the same substance can affect different individuals.

confused about the meth control. is it methamphetamine (what I call "meth") or amphetamine (i.e. Adderall)? Because giving people amphetamine in a study seems fine, but methamphetamine seems batshit crazy lol

It made me want to make out with my partner’s best friend even though I didn’t really like her. Interestingly, because my inhibitions were lowered I guess, I told my partner and her best friend that I wanted to make out with her and they both said it was fine, but I didn’t because I was still able to realize how weird things would be when we all sobered up.

do you think based on these studies that mdma in controlled doses could be used to treat social anxiety in the future?

You said they're more cooperative, and more positive to friends, but has it been studied whether they would be cooperative when a friend asked them to inflict (slight) harm to strangers?
