Napoleon Bonaparte was born on August 15, 1769 in Ajaccio, on the island of Ajaccio, shortly after France incorporated the island into its territory. He belonged to a family of minor nobility. From a young age, he showed interest in a military career and was sent to France to study. He entered a military college and became an officer. When the French Revolution began in 1789, Napoleon was twenty years old, and he took advantage of the huge political changes to quickly advance in the army. In 1793, he succeeded during Toulon, where he helped expel British and Royalist forces, and was promoted to general at just 24. In the following years, it became increasingly important. In 1795, he helped the revolutionary government win in Paris, and in 1796 he was given command of the French army in Italy. There he won a series of impressive victories over Austria and its allies, conquering territories and forcing Austria to negotiate peace. His fame increased enormously, and he returned to France as a diplomat. In 1798, he led an expedition to Egypt with the intention of reorganizing British trade routes to India. Although he won several land victories, the French fleet was destroyed by the British in the Battle of the Nile, leaving his army surrounded. Napoleon left Egypt in 1799 and returned to France. In the same year, he participated in the coup d'état of 18 Brumario, which ended the rule of the Directory. Napoleon became the First Consul, with more and more power in his hands. Over the next few years, he reorganized France, created the Civil Code known as the Napoleonic Code, reformed the administration, strengthened education, and reached an agreement with the Catholic Church through the Concordat of 1801. In 1804, after consolidating his power, Napoleon proclaimed himself Emperor of the French. On December 2, 1804, he was crowned emperor at Notre Dame de Paris, in a ceremony during which, according to tradition, he accepted the crown and crowned himself. As emperor, he built one of the most powerful empires in Europe. He defeated Austria, Prussia.

Derrotó a Austria, rusia.
