I won’t lie, this comment hit me in the feels. It was posted a few days ago and I keep thinking about it. Even though it was a public comment on one of my posts, I have chosen to blank the name out as I am choosing to share it. If you have followed me for a while, you will know what motivates me to keep my gears turning and keep cranking out content on social media. Very simply, I want to make the fitness industry a better place. One part of that is making sure that the fitness industry, and gyms in general are more welcoming for everyone. Yes, that is regardless of body size, gender, age, ability, or any other physical attribute. See, many of us are avid gym fanatics and going to the gym is an activity we enjoy, but that is not the case for everyone. Going to the gym can be stressful, anxiety-inducing and unfortunately, occasionally traumatic for some people. Part of the reason I make so many videos on this topic is because we, as an industry, have the power to be a little ripple of positive change. If we genuinely care about people’s health, we should proactively want everyone to feel comfortable going to the gym without judgment. Without fear of mockery or bullying. So, whilst a small portion of people keep accusing me of ‘promoting obesity’ when I try and make uplifting videos when I see people exercising regardless of their body size, please note that this comment epitomises the kind of positive impact I wish to have. Thank you. ❤️ P.S. my best-selling book, ‘Everything Fat Loss’ is currently on sale as a brand-new audiobook, plus digital/print versions from Barnes and Noble, Apple, Kobo, Google, and Amazon with an extra 35% off in Canada. Feel free to grab it before the price goes up (Iink in profile). #weight #gym #GymTok #FitTok #workout #exercise #fatshaming #MentalHealth #positivity #fatloss #weightloss #fatlosstips #weightlosstips #calorie #caloriedeficit #calories #foryou #fyp #fypシ
