Using its oral hood lined with wispy tentacles, it catches small crustaceans and planktonic life. They produce a sweet, watermelon scent from its glands as a deterrent to predators. Like most sea slugs, Hooded Nudibranchs possess both male and female reproductive organs. So when two meet, they reproduce and leave behind tightly coiled ribbons of eggs.
