i actually started fostering for the first time after my cat passed away last year and SO many people kept telling me i was gonna foster fail with my first one! turns out i fostered and helped 7 kitties find homes before i decided i was ready to adopt. everyone’s journey after loss is so different and there’s no one right or wrong way to do it

This is the most unselfish reason for not adopting her. Simon was sent to you so you could foster often and easily. Honeycomb was sent to heal you after Simon and you her. You are both transitionary for each other in the best way.

Here's my foster fail. He's similar to honeycomb and quite uncomfortable around a lot of dogs. It was the hardest decision of my life to adopt him knowing I'd not be able to foster in the future. But I couldn't give him up. That is such a personal, deeply emotional decision to make and it upsets me every time I see comments telling you to keep her. No one can make that decision besides you.

I’ve fostered over 70 cats and I’ve adopted just one. And it was because he clearly was under the impression that he lived here now, and we couldn’t make him move again.
