I am walking in the marsh waters, trying to catch a crayfish with both hands. There it is in my grasp—I can see it clearly, even though it is 2026 and I live in Europe. I will remain forever connected to this place; my spirit will never leave it, not until the very end. I had warned of the GREAT DANGER that would ensue... I saw them arrive with their ships of doom, and I can still feel that horrible, gut-wrenching fear (a profound karmic fear, the Buddhist Master told me). I wear a crocodile skin and live in the swamps... that is my home. The crocodiles and my tribe live in perfect harmony. I saw the ships and ran to warn everyone of the calamity... the disaster that would befall us for decades. I died, but my remains do not rest in the burial ground alongside my other bodies. My ghost has stayed back there in the swamps... I haunt that place! I look in the mirror wearing my crocodile skin; I look at my lower body and see it submerged in the swamp water, even though I live in Switzerland. No one would listen when I said we had to drive back those invaders... not let them settle on our lands... I paint my whole face red and stay here... keeping watch! They should have listened to me and taken my words seriously. Sometimes, here and now, I see myself walking through the swamps all day long! I am in the water—listen to me: drive them as far away as possible—and then I fall asleep. No one listened, so I remain here to bear witness to one of the gravest events of all! A thousand years from now, I will still be in the swamps!
