@itsjustcinema: This is part 3 of exploring Joachim Trier’s “Oslo Trilogy”. And the final part of this trilogy is one of the best films of the 2020s. This is “The Worst Person in the World”. #cinema #filmtok #whattowatch #movies #theworstpersonintheworld
it feels like this film is more for people in their 30s...

Yeah, hard pass. The last thing I needed in my 20s was a film about a woman with commitment issues. 500 Days of Summer completely destroyed me.

“I saw myself sitting in the crotch of this fig tree, starving to death, just because I couldn’t make up my mind which of the figs I would choose. I wanted each and every one of them, but choosing one meant losing all the rest, and, as I sat there, unable to decide, the figs began to wrinkle and go black, and, one by one, they plopped to the ground at my feet.”

Umm defo for people in the early to mid thirties, maybe late 20s. It really captures the essence of millennial life experience. (There is even a quote by her that she is feeling like a Bamby on ice even though she is her thirties - great analogy of how we grew up with expectations that by 30 we will know who we are and what adulthood feels like - and we’ll defo not the case for me 😅)

I want someone to tell me why they liked it. I couldn’t finish it. I tried many times. I hated the narration, loathed the protagonist, felt slow and pretentious. I loved August 31st. It’s one of my favourite movies ever.
