Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo and his wife, Lucy “Lulu” Muteke, were traveling by helicopter on September 30, 2026. They never made it home. The couple had spent the day at Wicknell’s rural home and were traveling toward Harare when their helicopter crashed at Kudenga Farm near Marondera, Zimbabwe. The aircraft hit the ground and caught fire. There were no survivors. Wicknell and Lucy were killed along with Lucy’s aide, Sanelisiwe Magagula, and pilots Calvin Soda and Courage Mutavirwa. The crash was so severe that the victims’ remains were badly burned and forensic examinations and DNA testing were needed to help identify them. But what happened afterward has raised even more questions. The crash happened around 5 p.m. Investigators and forensic teams processed the scene, and the victims’ remains were transferred from the crash site the following day. Days later, Wicknell’s family revealed something disturbing: Wicknell and Lucy’s heads had not been recovered. Family spokesman Herbert Chivayo said forensic officials initially believed some remains recovered from the scene might have been portions of their heads. Further examination determined they were not. As of the latest family update, neither head has been found. Online speculation has suggested animals may have disturbed the remains, but authorities have NOT established that as fact. The missing remains have now sparked questions in Zimbabwe about how the crash scene was secured and handled after the accident. Wicknell and Lucy are scheduled to be buried side by side at Glen Forest Cemetery in Harare on October 8. Their family says they will be laid to rest without their heads. The official investigation into what caused the helicopter to crash remains ongoing. 🚩 RED FLAG REVIEW: The crash itself was a tragedy. But when part of two victims’ remains cannot be accounted for afterward, their family deserves clear answers about what happened at that scene. Until investigators establish otherwise, claims about what happened to their missing heads remain speculation. #TrueCrime #Zimbabwe #wicknellchivayo #CrimeTok #extreme - @extreme.crimes
