@onlyslaggin: What camera do I use to film my BBQ videos? Almost always my iPhone. I’ve had loads of DMs asking about my camera setup and the equipment I use for filming food content, so here’s a look behind the scenes. For 99% of my videos, it’s two iPhones, two tripods, a microphone and a relay screen so I can check how both shots are framed. That’s pretty much it. I film outside in natural light whenever possible. When the Northern Irish weather has other ideas, I head into the BBQ shack, where we have three studio lights. For road trips and days out, I might bring along GoPros, a drone or our 360 camera. But most of the cooking videos you watch here are filmed on my phones. If you fancy making your own videos, you don’t have to spend a fortune on camera equipment. A steady shot, decent light and clear sound go a long way. The camera already in your pocket will usually do the job.
