@cbsnews: Newly released body camera footage shows a 6-year-old student accused of shooting his first grade teacher at Richneck Elementary School cursing at officers as police entered his classroom on Jan. 6, 2023. Teacher Abby Zwerner and 16 students had fled Classroom 11 after she was shot. Zwerner then collapsed in the school office while the boy, identified in court as J.T., remained inside the classroom with reading specialist Amy Kovac, who was holding him when officers arrived. A jury awarded $10 million to Zwerner in a civil trial last November. The student's mother was sentenced to nearly four years in prison for felony child neglect and federal weapons charges.

unfortunately this child needs to be placed in a different environment. Yes parents need to be investigated but more than that he needs to see a child psychologist and get the help he needs. Locking his parents up doesn't do anything but take an influence away and that does need to happen but he also he needs guidance and help to get back on track.
