@blackskullsreaper: Homestyle Ground Beef and Layered Potato Casserole with Melted Cheddar Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef 1 small onion, diced 4 medium russet potatoes, thinly sliced 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup 1/2 cup milk 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 tablespoon butter, for greasing the dish Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish Directions: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned. Drain excess grease. Season the beef mixture with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Arrange half of the sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Spread half of the ground beef mixture over the potatoes. Pour half of the soup mixture evenly over the beef layer. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef mixture, soup mixture, and cheese. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly. Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
