@cspanofficial: Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday refused to comment on a new report alleging U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle solicited cash in exchange for access to the Trump administration. "Our job is not to respond every time someone decides to give the media something without any advance warning, without having any chance to look at it and see what’s in there," he told reporters before departing Athens. "That's not the way you run an organization, and that's not a serious way to conduct the policy of our country. So, I'm not going to comment on a story that posted a few hours ago." The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that Ms. Guilfoyle, the former fiancée of Donald Trump Jr., asked a donor to pay $100,000 toward an American Express bill in exchange for helping the donor gain access to the administration to resolve personal tax and legal issues. The request reportedly came as she was preparing for her confirmation hearing. Secretary Rubio said he did not know whether the report was true and declined to comment on its allegations.
