Last call: 3 hours left on sale and 10 spots left. Sissy Squat Machine’s Side Hustle: Overhead Plate Sissy Sit-Up Part sit-up. Part pullover. Part shoulder work. Whole lot going on. Anchoring the lower body gives you a stable base while moving the plate through that long overhead arc turns a regular weighted sit-up into a core and upper-body movement. WHY IT WORKS • Abs: Drive the torso up and control the descent back down • Lats: Work through the pullover portion as the plate moves from behind the head toward the body • Shoulders: Control the plate through a large range of motion and work hard as the arms stay extended • Serratus: Helps control and stabilize the shoulder blades throughout the overhead movement • Triceps: Help maintain the extended-arm position under load • Hip flexors: Assist the trunk as it comes upright from the anchored position • Long lever: Keeping the plate away from the body increases the demand on both the core and upper body • Eccentric control: Abs, lats and shoulders all have to control the trip back down Turns out the sissy squat machine has been seriously underemployed. Legs were just its day job. #fypシ゚viral
