More writers need to try removing lines from paragraphs. I see so much overwriting. I love trimming my paragraphs and trying to show things with as few words as possible (with the meaning still remaining and the emotions still hitting the same). Picking stronger words is often key.

I like the third one because I am writing a character that is very different to me and who would no doubt not notice the things I notice in a room and focus on other things. like “is it stuffy?”
