@theniblack: Jay Sifford and I had a wonderful time during his visit to the Pacific Northwest last month. Ferries, good food, and so many generous people eager to share their gardens made it especially memorable. 💚 After leaving Indianola, we took the ferry to Edmonds and headed to Medina for a wonderful dinner in Denise Lane’s incredible garden. The next day, Jay visited my garden and gave his NHS talk on a beautiful summer evening. Then we headed north to Bellingham, stopping at Christensen’s Nursery along the way and visiting one of Jay’s fans’ gardens. Jay spoke for the Whatcom County Horticulture Society, and we wrapped up the trip with a delicious brunch at Dawn Chaplin’s home. It was such a pleasure to show Jay this corner of the world and share the gardening we do here. Looking through these photos, I’m smiling all over again.
