From inflamed, exhausted, and disconnected from my body… to chasing my leanest, most defined version… to finally finding something that actually feels like me. There was a time where my body was fighting me. PCOS, hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, and a complicated relationship with food. I just wanted to feel better. Then came the phase where I did everything “right.” Perfect macros. Low calories. 45 minutes of cardio every single day. And yes, I got lean. Like 15–17% body fat lean. And I won’t lie, it’s addictive. Seeing abs 24/7. Maximum definition. That constant validation. It pulls you in. But what people don’t talk about is what it takes to stay there. I was under fueled. Mentally exhausted. Constantly chasing numbers. Putting pressure on myself every day just to maintain something that wasn’t meant to be permanent. And eventually I burned out. Now I train hard, eat well, and live my life. I’m not at my leanest, and that’s the point. I feel strong, feminine, and confident. My body feels supported instead of controlled. And my routine is something I can actually sustain. Working in this industry, I’ll probably always be my toughest critic. But I’ve learned this Your leanest body isn’t always your healthiest body.
