@tailsofafosterpawrent: 10 days in rescue for Acorn and Truffle! These newborn days are BLISS. They’re so tiny, so precious, and I want to freeze time because how are they already growing up?! 😭 But a LOT of work happens behind the scenes. 🍼 184 individual feeds (every 2 hours at first, then every 3 hours) 💩 552–736 tissues used for potty stimulation prior to feeding (3-4 tissues per kitten per feed) 🧻 A minimum of 184 baby wipes for little faces and tiny booties to keep them sparkly clean ⚖️ 40 individual weigh-ins to track their growth (at least twice a day per kitten!) We can’t even count the TIME…formula mixing, bottle and syringe washing, sanitizing supplies, laundry, incubator monitoring, environmental disinfection, tracking intake and output, calculating med dosage, or the sleep deprivation. It’s exhausting, meticulous, and such an unbelievable PRIVILEGE to be here for every tiny milestone. ❤️ #newbornkittens #bottlebaby #fosterkittens #rescuelife #ineedcoffee
