I agree and as much as I love Ohtani he needs to sit and put De Paula. They had many opportunities to score and didn’t. I hope this loss gives them a wake up call and get those bats going 🙏🏼

De Paula is SO fun to watch. He is so composed & confident, he has a GREAT eye for the ball. And even though Tucker didn’t do anything really, he kept fouling off which is MUCH more contact than Ohtani is making. I have zero worries about them winning the series but yeah batters need to wake up!!

Ohtani was the one of the only productive players yesterday and scored our one and only run 😭 JDP can only come in for Ohtani at DH because his defense is trash. Also there’s a reason Tommy came in for JDP to run the bases. Horrible take.

We should have gone to the pen sooner. Skubal started slipping after the 4th. We need more hits. Our lack of RBIs is a problem. I’m not feeling the same drive we usually have. We need to get it together.

It's crazy because I feel like these playoffs would be going way differently if De Paula were getting Shohei's at bats, the latter clearly just isn't right at the moment.

I think we can afford to chill on Ohtani for one more game. He did actually show improvement. Who we can’t afford to wait on is Smith but unfortunately Rushing isn’t here so idk. They took out Kim in favor of Wrobleski which all you can really say is wtf. I do agree we need to win this game though. There is such a huge weight on Yoshi’s shoulders I’m getting a nervous feeling but hopefully he does what he always does and the bats get going early.

💯 Agree... Ohtani needs to stay back and let others that do produce play. I love Ohtani but if he wants to help the team win, he needs to step aside and let another player step up.
