@viraj.ala: Some founders grind just for the sake of grinding. Ian learned the opposite.. and built a company past $10 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲. His lesson? Give a monkey enough time and it types Shakespeare. Know what you actually want, and you get there in a fraction of it. Ian Wong. Stanford. Founder of Summation. Co-founder of Opendoor, which he grew past 10 billion in revenue. He's 40. But the lesson he leads with came from his mother, not a boardroom. He moved to Vancouver as a kid and barely spoke English. Raised by a single mom with two younger brothers. The only way she managed three boys was consistency. A schedule she never broke. They were never late to anything. His take: you have to be a little crazy to be a founder. If you don't have a new idea, what are you even doing? But once you find your crazy, you pursue it with relentless consistency. And you treat yourself like an athlete, not a machine. Even the most passionate players can't be on the field 80 hours a week. His most important lesson about people, at 40? Everyone is intrinsically drawn to something. Find that thing, in yourself and in others, and double down on it. Don't fix the weakness. Amplify the strength.
