I sparred thousands of rounds. In world-class gyms. With World Champions. With Olympic champions. And it’s so easy to believe sparring is making you better. I believed that too. Then I was about to spar Carl Froch, who at the time was the Super Middleweight world champion. Right before we got in the ring, he said something that completely shocked me and changed how I thought about sparring forever. Not “let’s go hard.” Not “let’s see who’s tougher.” He said, “This spar is about learning. We’re not here to kill each other.” That caught me off guard. Because up until then, I’d always thought that saying something like that (even though I truly believed it) would make me look weak. Most people think the same… as we have egos, right? And here I am, about to get in the ring with one of the most experienced, toughest, and established pro fighters in the world… And he was the one saying it to me… Not because he feared me Not because he was afraid of being hurt But because he wanted to get the most from the session to help him improve… Ya see, in boxing, every punch you take makes your brain shake inside your skull. Like jelly in a jar. Most people don’t think about that. They think hard sparring is “toughening them up.” Or think “you have to spar this way” But if you’re sparring the wrong way, it’s not making you better. It’s just causing damage while locking in bad habits. That’s why people can spar for years, train hard, even win fights… and still plateau. We see it with fighters all the time: as they go on in their career, they really slow down- not just their body but their brain too. If you spar, you need to understand these things to get the most out of every session . I want you to know the VERY best way to spar and improve without getting hurt. I’ve spent nearly a year creating the Sparring Academy to show you exactly how. And now its Available, and I’m doing 70% off for the launch, Click the link in my bio for the details on how to join Sparring Academy.
