@nextlevelmind343: Worrying about things that have not happened yet is a common experience known as anticipatory anxiety. And research shows that the majority of anticipated negative events never actually happen. When your brain detects a threat, your amygdala scans for danger to protect you. You get stuck in a loop of imagining the worst case scenario and treat it like a concrete fact rather than a theory or concept. Your mind tricks you into thinking that worrying is a way to prepare for or prevent bad things from happening. There are ways to stop worrying. Pause and check your immediate physical reality. If the event is not occurring in that moment, bring your focus back to the present. You can also use sensory grounding by looking around the room and naming five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste to pull yourself back to reality and your brain out of the future. Focus on what you can control and separate problems you can solve in the moment instead of uncertainties you have zero power to change. #nextlevelmind #dailymotivation #inspirationalquotes #positivity #fyp
