The law is simple in Singapore: according to CEA an agent MUST tell the truth as s/he knows it when asked. BUT, and this is important: s/he needs not disclose this. WHY: Singapore, as well as many other countries follow the principle of CAVEAT UMPTOR, meaning "buyer beware". SO buyers, do your due dilligence, ask the right questions! AGENTS in Singapore your duty is to your client (wither buyer or seller) and follow the rules. There are long standing reasons for this, even though it may sound unethical at times. The lesson is buyers, do your homework. ASK the questions and find out yourself or get your buying agent to do it, do not assume or wait to be told for it may be unethical for the seller's agent to do so.

It was a tough decision. My old house used to be haunted too, and the ghost was a little child who would run around the house and disturb my dad in the middle of the night. I remember my late grandma once telling my grandpa while she was doing laundry in the bathroom that she suddenly saw a child running happily through the master bedroom, bolt out into the living room, and disappear.

As for “haunted”, most people do not believe or they are free thinkers who do not believe in supernatural phenomena. Be upfront with the potential Buyers, offer them a few days or one week to stay in the flat and let them decide based on all these full information from the Sellers.

Follow the HDB and Property Industry rules and guidelines. If there have been a casualty or deadly accident or someone had passed away in the flat, please put it black and white in the documents for both sellers and buyers to acknowledge they are both aware.

Everyday people dies in house some die of old age while others dies of disease or cancer. So if they wanna haunt the house , easily 60 % of houses in Singapore will be haunted. Then how to sell house.
