If there’s a big football match on, the room can get louder than a stadium! NUMBER 2: THE GALLEY. 🍽️ After 12 hours of work, food hits differently! The catering team keeps everyone fed, and there’s always a debate about which meal is the best. For some workers, this is the highlight of the day. NUMBER 1: WATCHING THE SUNSET OVER THE OCEAN. 🌅 No traffic, no city noise, just open water stretching into the distance. When the sky changes color and the stars come out, you remember just how different life offshore really is. And if the connection allows, getting a quick video call with family makes it even better. Of course, facilities vary from rig to rig, and being away from home for weeks can still be tough. But depending on your contract, accommodation and meals are often provided while you’re onboard.
