@konah619: 🚽 CHINA HAS DIGITAL TIMERS ABOVE TOILET STALLS — AND THE INTERNET HAS QUESTIONS! 😳🇨🇳 Imagine walking into a public restroom and seeing a digital timer counting how long someone has been inside each stall. In parts of China, this is REAL technology! In 2024, digital timers installed in the restrooms at the Yungang Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Shanxi Province, China, caught worldwide attention. The displays showed the time a stall had been occupied, turning an ordinary bathroom break into something people could actually see from outside. 🟢 Green means available. 🔴 Red means occupied. ⏱️ The timer shows how long the stall has been in use. So, why install something like this? The system was intended to help manage restroom use at a popular tourist attraction, where large crowds can create long lines. It can help visitors identify available stalls and staff keep track of occupancy. But there's a catch: the timers don't automatically mean people are being forced to leave after a certain number of minutes. Reports about the installation said there was no strict time limit. And that's where things get interesting. Some people see this as a smart solution for crowded public restrooms. Others think displaying the duration of someone's bathroom break crosses a line when it comes to privacy. 👀 Think about it: Would you feel comfortable using a restroom knowing a timer was counting every second of your visit? Or would you rather wait in line for a little longer and keep your bathroom breaks private? 💬 SOUND OFF IN THE COMMENTS: SMART TECHNOLOGY OR A PRIVACY NIGHTMARE?
