A woman in North Carolina is facing serious charges after authorities say she violently attacked a Walmart employee during the worker’s dinner break. According to the Greensboro Police Department, 52-year-old Tokyia Brown has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Officers were called around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to a Walmart on West Wendover Avenue, where they discovered a victim suffering from a severe stab wound. Emergency responders transported the employee to a hospital for treatment. During a court hearing, a prosecutor stated that the victim sustained a deep neck wound that cut into her carotid artery and extended down to the upper portion of her left lung. Despite the severity of the injury, it was later reported to be non-life-threatening following surgery. Investigators say the incident began in the store’s parking lot while the employee was sitting in her car with the window down. Brown, who was riding in another vehicle, allegedly approached and shoved a shopping cart into the victim’s car. After a brief verbal exchange, the employee stepped out of her vehicle. Police allege that Brown then used a sharp object attached to her keychain to stab the victim in the neck. The injured employee managed to run back into the store while applying pressure to the wound as it bled heavily. Coworkers quickly called 911. Authorities say surveillance cameras captured the altercation. Brown was later located and taken into custody. She is currently being held without bond at the Guilford County Correctional Facility. Court records indicate Brown is unemployed and has a prior conviction for simple assault. Additional past charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats, had previously been dismissed.#fyp #viral

An 83-year-old man who fatally shot an Uber driver after falling victim to an elaborate scam has been sentenced to spend the rest of his life behind bars. William J. Brock was convicted last month of murdering 61-year-old Lo-Letha Toland-Hall in South Charleston, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. On Monday, a judge handed Brock a sentence of 21 years to life in prison, meaning he is unlikely to ever be released. Prosecutors said Brock wrongly believed Toland-Hall was part of a criminal scheme targeting him. He had reportedly been receiving threatening messages from scammers who demanded $12,000 and warned they would harm him and his family if he did not comply. Toland-Hall, a mother of one, was completely unaware of the scam. Authorities said she was sent to Brock’s home through an Uber request that instructed her to collect a “package.” Dashcam footage from her vehicle shows Brock confronting her with a .22-caliber revolver shortly after she arrived. A struggle followed, during which Brock fired six shots. Toland-Hall was struck multiple times in the chest, upper torso, and thigh. She was rushed to hospital but died during emergency surgery. A jury found Brock guilty on all counts, including felony murder, kidnapping, and felonious assault, according to the Springfield News-Sun. Despite pleading not guilty, Brock admitted to police that he believed Toland-Hall was one of the scammers threatening him. The individuals responsible for orchestrating the scam that led to her death have not yet been identified.#fyp #viral
