Is this government AI propaganda?
I'd call it memory diminishment rather than any hyper upper cortex high jinx.

The doorway effect is a recognised psychological phenomenon. Research suggests that moving between rooms can create an event boundary, changing how the brain organises information and sometimes making a previous intention harder to recall. This does not mean the memory has been erased.
My own interpretation is that what we experience as forgetting may often be a shift in attention rather than an actual loss of memory. The intention may still exist, but the change in context makes it temporarily less accessible.
The research supports the role of event boundaries and memory retrieval; the emphasis on shifting attention is my personal explanation, not a conclusion I would claim the research has definitively established.
