Their alleged burial site at nearby Murderers’ Crossroads, near Asbury-Anderson Road and McCullough Road, has its own chilling ghost legends. We also uncover the remarkable history of Margaret “Peggy” Warne, an 18th-century midwife who served the local community and is buried in this historic cemetery. Armed with our spirit boxes, SLS camera, and EMF equipment, we investigated the graves of the Changewater victims and searched for signs of the legendary Revolutionary War spirit. During our investigation, our visual spirit box displayed the words “sleep,” “wake,” and “affair” near the murder victims’ graves, while our audible spirit box produced some intriguing responses to questions about the killings.
