Swansea Man James Miller Jailed For Historical Child Rape 👇 FULL CASE DETAILS BELOW 👇 Historical child abuser James Miller, aged 49, from Sandfields, Swansea, has been sentenced to an extended 17-year custodial sentence after being convicted of child rape, indecent assault, and gross indecency. The offences took place over an eight-year period between 1993 and 2001 against a single young victim. The court heard Miller subjected the child to repeated sexual and indecent assaults on no fewer than ten separate occasions, culminating in the rape of the victim when she was just 12 years old. The victim came forward to report Miller’s offending to South Wales Police in 2023, prompting a comprehensive historical safeguarding investigation. Following a Crown Court trial, Miller was found guilty on 10 September of rape of a female under 16, five counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14, and two counts of gross indecency with a girl under 14.
