@mealsai2: If you eat a "healthy" breakfast every morning and you're still starving by 10am, the problem probably isn't how much you eat. It's what's on the plate. Toast with jam, a glass of orange juice, a fruit smoothie and a big bowl of granola all look healthy, but most of them are fast-digesting carbs with very little protein, fat or fiber to keep you full. Here are 5 common mistakes, and every fix uses food you probably already have. 👇 1️⃣ Almost no protein Toast and fruit is only about 8g of protein. Protein is what keeps you full the longest, so a low-protein breakfast is one of the main reasons people are snacking by mid-morning. ✅ Fix: aim for 25–30g. Two eggs plus a 170g cup of Greek yogurt gets you about 29g, and it takes less than 10 minutes. Keep the toast if you want it. Just add the protein next to it. 2️⃣ Drinking your fruit A 12 oz glass of orange juice has about 31g of sugar and almost no fiber. It goes down in a few sips and doesn't fill you up the way whole fruit does. ✅ Fix: eat the orange instead and drink coffee, tea or water. Whole fruit keeps its fiber, takes longer to eat and keeps you fuller for longer, with a lot less sugar per serving. 3️⃣ No fat at all Dry toast and plain fruit digest fast and leave your stomach quickly. A little fat slows digestion down, so you stay satisfied for longer. ✅ Fix: add 1 tbsp of nut butter or half an avocado. Peanut butter and banana toast or avocado toast with chili flakes both take 2 minutes and make the same breakfast last a lot longer. 4️⃣ An all-fruit smoothie Banana, mango and juice blended together is mostly sugar, with almost nothing to slow it down. It tastes great and leaves you hungry soon after. ✅ Fix: add a scoop of Greek yogurt and 1 tbsp of chia seeds. The yogurt adds protein and the chia adds fiber and healthy fat, and it still tastes like a fruit smoothie. Swap the juice for milk to add even more protein. 5️⃣ Granola by the bowlful Many granolas have 10–15g of sugar per half cup, and the amount most people actually pour is often double that. It's easy to eat a dessert-sized portion without noticing. ✅ Fix: use granola as a topping, not the base. Two tablespoons on top of Greek yogurt with berries gives you the crunch without the sugar overload, and the yogurt does the work of keeping you full. The simple rule for a breakfast that lasts until lunch: start with protein, add a little fat and some fiber, and keep the sugar on the side instead of at the center. Save this for tomorrow morning 📌 and send it to the friend who's always reaching for a snack by 10am. Which mistake were you making? 👇 Want breakfasts that keep you full till lunch?
