Germany was not communist. It was socialist. Russia, Cuba is communist. Most countries are a combination of capitalism and socialism. Like America is a capitalist country, but we have socialist programs safety nets. Without capitalism, no one would own anything but the government. With communism, you have people starving only the ones in power own everything. It’s a two tier system. The problem with socialism not everyone puts in the same effort so why is anyone gonna work or try to better themselves if they don’t get anything out of it. Then you have a lack of production, scarce resources everyone just gets poorer.

I think people in the US and western societies hate communism not because of the ideology, but because of the horrible atrocities that communism produced.

basically fascism kills other people, communism kills their own, over 100 milion people died during that regime compared to 15-30 milion under fascism soo yeah its bad, sounds good on paper but not when applied

my physics teacher who lived as a kid in communistic poland often tell us how it looked like before, he always says whoever missed communism, they are blinded by nostalgia of being young, the family were spies or completly frogot who klled milions of us You had to speak russian, u didnt had money just like everyone else, if you wanted a better status you had to sell your friends to the goverement, you could have been sent to gulags (syberia) (you can search up what was happeing there, tho there not alot of surviours so theres not much known abt it) or be beaten up by militia for looking weird at them I dont remebwr everything what he said but i know he told us that the communism is not that hated around young people from western countries bc they had never seen their friend being beatn for not speaking a laungae they dont understand and that the govement was much better at hiding with what they do

I‘m not even joking, learning about it will make you question everything you‘ve learned or heard. I‘ve been a huge anticommunist. I read more to debate commies better and ts genuinely made me think the same, like this sounds good and makes sense

communism doesn't work, but the same goes for pure capitalism. the only thing that does work is capitalism mixed with socialist programs. today is often called socialism, but in a less extreme form. capitalism stimulates progress, while socialist programs prevents abuse by the rich and powerful. it protects the lower and middle class. that's my opinion at least.

Communism in itself isn't wrong, it's actually the best system that could exist, but the problem is, whoever is in power, usually has too much power,vans that gives way to dictatorships.
