A five-room DBSS flat at City View @ Boon Keng was sold for S$1.64 million on Oct. 15, becoming the first HDB resale flat in Kallang/Whampoa to cross the S$1.6 million mark. The transaction broke the previous record of S$1.58 million, set by a five-room flat at Kallang Trivista in September 2026. The 1,259 sq ft flat is located between the 34th and 36th storeys of Block 9 Boon Keng Road. Its selling price works out to approximately S$1,302 psf. City View @ Boon Keng is a 714-unit DBSS development completed in 2011, with about 83 years left on its lease. Boon Keng and Bendemeer MRT stations are within walking distance, on top of various amenities in its vicinity. DBSS projects are built by private developers, but the scheme was scrapped in 2011, with no new flats built under it since. In an April 2026 parliamentary reply, the Ministry of National Development (MND) said about 6 per cent of resale flats transacted above S$1 million in 2025. Based on the flash estimate for the first quarter of 2026, resale prices declined slightly by 0.1 per cent. Prescott used the social media app Whisper as a mechanical necessity to traffic and share these child sex images online. He attempted to completely evade responsibility for his actions, fabricating a pathetic psychiatric excuse by claiming a twisted "alter-ego" personality named Alex downloaded the material. Proving his absolute non-compliance and extreme danger to children, Prescott continued downloading more files while on active police bail, leading to a secondary tactical raid by Merseyside Police on April 15, 2021, that unzipped a fresh cache of images. The court heard he was a high-risk repeat offender who had already broken a prior 2016 Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for hoarding 4,000 child abuse files. Recorder Ian Unsworth QC branded him a dangerous and prolific paedophile, jailing him for 30 months. The Offender Database UK confirmed that Matthew Prescott was convicted following an intensive public safety operation: Four criminal convictions for downloading, two counts of possessing, and one count of distributing child sex abuse images.
