2026 is how it should have been done, there's a reason sauron would be completely in armour, it's because he was crushed by eru and left with no choice but to be a faceless dark lord, Peter Jackson sold this 2001 image but it's not book accurate just great theatre, sauron made the ring pre flood after all, still very much in fair form. season 5 he will most likely be in complete armour all the time, switching the visual narrative over to the heroes.
