Halle Berry is again criticizing California Gov. Gavin Newsom, saying he never followed up with her after she publicly challenged him over his veto of menopause-related legislation — outreach she says she reasonably expected given their shared interest in improving women’s health care. At The New York Times DealBook Summit on Dec. 3, Berry spoke candidly about women’s health and singled out Newsom for rejecting the Menopause Care Equity Act (AB 432) for the second year in a row. The bill, which Berry strongly supported, was designed to expand access to medical treatment for menopause symptoms, according to Politico Pro. Referring to Newsom during her remarks, the Oscar-winning actress said, “My own governor has vetoed our menopause bill not once, but twice.” She then added pointedly, “That’s fine — he won’t be governor forever. But when you ignore women, who make up half the population, and dismiss us during midlife, maybe you shouldn’t be thinking about running for president either.” The comment drew an audible reaction from the audience. The following day, Newsom responded to questions from reporters, saying he had spoken with Berry’s manager and suggested the actress may not have known his administration was already planning to address menopause care in the upcoming 2026–27 state budget. “We’re in the process of reconciling that,” Newsom said on Dec. 4. “I’ve already included it in next year’s budget. This was already being worked on.” However, in a February cover interview with The Cut, Berry said she interpreted Newsom’s comments as an indication that he would personally reach out to continue the conversation — something she says never occurred. “It’s unsettling when people say they’re going to do something and then don’t,” Berry said. “He heard me. And if he wants to be president someday, he can’t afford to ignore women. Wake up, Gavin.” A spokesperson for Berry was contacted to clarify whether Newsom followed up with her manager in December, as he previously claimed.#fyp #viral

A 30-year-old man in New York may spend the rest of his life behind bars for kill*ng his estranged pregnant wife 3 years ago, strangl*ng her to d3ath inside her home because he didn’t want to pay for the new baby’s health insurance. Nassau County Supreme Court Judge Robert A. McDonald on Thursday ordered Michael Owen to serve a sentence of 25 years to life in a state correctional facility for the 2020 slaying of 27-year-old Kelly Owen. A jury in Nassau County convicted Michael Owen on 1 count of second-degree murd3r in his estranged wife’s brutal d3ath in July 2023. “Michael Owen drove to his estranged wife’s house on January 15, 2020, with the intention of kill*ng her,” County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly said in a statement following the sentencing hearing. “Kelly was a young mother & pregnant with Owen’s child at the time of her brutal murd3r. She worked with children & had dreams of becoming a nurse. Michael Owen stole those dreams & now he will pay for his crimes in prison. Our thoughts remain with Kelly’s family as they continue to mourn her loss.” Michael & Kelly Owen married in 2013, had a child together & then separated in March 2018. They continued a physical relationship for some time after separating, but authorities said that too ended when Michael Owen became vi0lent. Investigators determined that Michael Owen decided to k*ll his wife, a nursing student, after she told him she was pregnant with their second child. Prosecutors said that Michael Owens already had money problems as well as a new girlfriend & didn’t want another baby. Evidence showed that he particularly did not want to pay for the new baby’s medical insurance. “He did not want this child,” Nassau police Det. Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick said in a statement after his arrest. “He did not want to give her medical insurance. He had this new relationship he was involved in & he was in a bad position.” According to the DA’s Office, Kelly Owen on Jan. 15, 2020, was at her apartment located in the 1200 block of First Avenue in Farmingdale when the att*ck took place. Kelly Owen’s apartment was in her parents’ home & on that morning, her father walked her 6-year-old son to school. She & Michael Owen shared custody of the boy. Kelly Owen worked as an aftercare program aide at a local elementary school between the hours of 3 & 6 p.m., prosecutors said. When she failed to call in sick or show up for work that day, a colleague called her parents to see where she was. Kelly Owen’s parents then discovered her lifeless body inside the apartment. An autopsy determined she had been strangled to d3ath with “a rope-like object” & was in the early stages of pregnancy. Surveillance footage obtained by investigators showed that Michael Owen had been in the victim’s neighborhood at about 9:30 a.m. on the morning of her d3ath. “Michael Owen, who was employed as a cell site technician, parked 2 blocks away from Kelly’s home & turned his phone off before arriving in Farmingdale, making his cellphone location undetectable”. However, authorities said they recovered Michael Owen’s DNA from the area around the victim’s neck. He was arrested later that month & charged with murd3r. #truecrimecommunity #truecrime #crimetiktok #crime #crimejunkie #truecrimetiktok #truecrimeaddicted #truecrimepodcast #truecrimeaddict #crimetok #news #sadstory #murder

👇😎 I use ChatGPT pretty much every day, and I've learned something interesting. Sometimes the difference between a useless answer and a really good one is just a few words. Here are 5 shortcuts worth stealing. 👇 1️⃣ \HUMAN "Rewrite this like a real person talking. No robotic language, no corporate nonsense. Make it conversational and natural." 2️⃣ \BLINDSPOT "Tell me what I'm missing. What haven't I considered? Where could this go wrong? Don't just agree with me." 3️⃣ \10XTHINK "Think deeper about this. Challenge your first answer, explore better possibilities and give me a more practical solution." 4️⃣ \KILLCRITIC "Stop agreeing with everything I say. Critique my idea, tell me what's weak, what won't work and how to fix it." 5️⃣ \ALT3 "Give me 3 completely different approaches to this problem. Not slight variations. Three genuinely different directions." Here's how to use them. Just add one to the end of your regular prompt AFTER you've defined what it means. "Help me start an online business. \BLINDSPOT" "How can I make an extra $1,000 a month? \10XTHINK" "Review my digital product idea. \KILLCRITIC" "Write an Instagram caption. \HUMAN" "Give me ways to promote my business. \ALT3" These aren't official ChatGPT commands. They're custom shortcuts you create by giving ChatGPT the instructions above. Personally, \KILLCRITIC is my favourite. Sometimes I need ChatGPT to tell me my idea sucks instead of telling me I'm a genius. 😂 Disclaimer: These are custom shortcuts, not built-in commands. Define them first and always verify important AI responses. #Chicago #Vancouver #Manchester
