I almost forgot about the black or white speed limit signs. Sometimes there were different speed limits on a street depending on whether it was night (white letters on a black sign) or day (black letters on a white sign).

We used to shop at the food basket all the time, Kmart and Payless. I lived behind where the food 4 less is now and none of that was there then. The places I lived in were built in 82. So cool

K mart!! I remember that then it changed to sears and I think it went back to k mart at one point I’m not sure, before it closed. Now it’s a northgate and Burlington.

I wasn't in San Diego in the 70s, let alone alive, but I recognized the Hillcrest sign but nothing else until it got to Park and the bridge. It's my bus route home from Broadway downtown to Fairmount every night after work. Obviously the opposite way to get downtown for work. This was awesome 👍
