Knies is 23 I think and Marchenko is 26. I don’t think knies has the offensive flair like this guy does. I’m happy with the trade

The Leafs won that trade. Knies was a fan favourite. But not as good

You know the leafs did something great when Avery praises them. I thought I’d never see this day.

it seemed like an even trade, but he does Marner-like moves

As a leafs fan it’s definitely working out however I think it was a tremendous deal for Columbus for the simple fact Marchenko wanted out and was on his final year anyways, to turn a guy that was going to leave anyways into getting Knies on a very good contract with term I think they made out ok.

I was skeptical of the trade at first. But now I definitely feel we got the better player. Marchenko is a very good player. Yes he’s a bit older and much more expensive but he’s worth every penny so far

We all seen this with the Clark/Sundin trade years ago. Let’s hope this time around it ends up in a cup and not just stats

Columbus did very well in the trade as well. They had to get rid of him. And they got a good young player at a very low price per year.
