£187 a week on maternity leave… how is ANY mum supposed to survive on that?! If you’re a mum trying to stretch £187 across bills, food, baby essentials and everything in between, I see you 🤍 Maternity pay is failing families, leaving so many of us stressed, overwhelmed and wondering how we’re expected to cope. £187 a week is less than half the UK minimum wage, yet we’re meant to manage it while caring for a tiny human too. It just doesn’t add up, and it leaves too many mums slipping into debt simply to get through maternity leave 💔 I’ve been there…counting every penny and watching my savings disappear. The idea of leaving my baby before I was emotionally ready broke me, but the financial reality made it feel like there was no other choice. That’s when I realised something had to change.
