@marilynkingsley123: I always wanted this page to be a happy place, a little corner of the internet that brightens people’s days. And for over eight years, DJ did exactly that. He made people smile and warmed so many hearts. So forgive me sharing this such a sad video I found on my husband’s phone. But this is our reality now, and we’re going through such a hard time. We still talk about all of DJ’s happy, goofy moments with our girls. We remember him and laugh together. But as a mom, I’m struggling so much, losing my first baby and watching my girls say goodbye to their fur brother. They grew up alongside him and spent every single day of their lives with him. It’s tough. It’s really, really tough. My mama heart is heavy and broken, and it hurts so much. But raising my girls alongside DJ was one of the best things I’ve ever done as a mom. DJ was there for the girls from day one, and they were there for him until his very last moments, petting him, kissing him, and telling him how much they loved him. It breaks my heart, but there is also something beautiful in such a deeply sad way. He was there for the beginning of their lives, and they were there for the end of his, surrounding him with the same love he had given them every single day. 🤍 Thank you, DJ.
