The questions that keep me up at night 🙈 #islam #muslimtiktok #muslim #islamicreminder #faith
My mom has given 7+ years of her life to this company and, according to her, has the nation’s top performance numbers. She says that after her boss learned she was moving, two meetings were made mandatory. My mom explained her situation, offered to attend virtually, and said she was willing to do what was needed. She says her boss never responded. On Thursday, when my mom didn’t attend the meeting, her employer’s travel consultant arranged cancellation of her upcoming FOUR-NIGHT hotel reservation. This was where she needed to stay while her new home was being prepared. She booked it herself through her personal hotel app, using her PERSONAL credit card. The company wasn’t paying. My mom says there was no conversation with her about canceling and she gave ZERO permission. We have the travel consultant’s email confirming the cancellation. Her boss replied: “Thank you, very much.” Given that sequence, it feels spiteful to us. We don’t have the initial cancellation request proving the motive—but how did anyone believe they had authority to interfere with her personal accommodation? Could this be unlawful? What records should she request, and who should investigate? Hotel professionals, corporate travel staff, HR and California employment attorneys: please weigh in. Please don’t identify or contact anyone. AI presenter and voice used for privacy. Shared with my mom’s permission. #HotelTok #CorporateTravel#toxicworkplace #EmploymentLaw#viral
