@joyeuxbae: I already know this conversation is going to ruffle a few feathers, but aren’t we called to speak truth, even when it’s uncomfortable? “Speak the truth in love.” Ephesians 4:15 This isn’t about telling anyone not to vote or which party to support. Our choices matter, but so does how we represent Christ. Matthew 7:16 reminds us that we will know them by their fruits. John 13:35 tells us that people will know we are Christ’s disciples by our love for one another. Micah 6:8 calls us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. Loving people in their sin doesn’t mean pretending sin doesn’t matter. It means we can stand firm in God’s Word without withholding love, dignity, and compassion from people whose choices we may not agree with. We can exercise our right to vote, have convictions, and make decisions according to our faith without making political allegiance an idol or treating people as though they are beyond God’s reach.
