The Company Behind the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Takes My Chemical Romance to Court Over a Hollywood Bowl Stage Show A legal fight has started over uniforms at a My Chemical Romance concert. Pro Silver Star is the company behind the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders brand. NBC News, Rolling Stone and TMZ report it filed a motion in Dallas County District Court on Friday, Oct. 23. It asks for a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction against the band. The dispute is about the band’s first show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Oct. 21. That was the first night of a five-night residency. According to court documents, dancers took the stage in Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders-style uniforms. Video from fans appeared to show the dancers holding fake gus and protecting the band from military forces. TMZ reports the dancers were later depicted being sht, and some crawled offstage. The company’s attorney, Alex Spiro, argued that audience members and online commentators “understandably believed” the performers were the real cheerleaders. He said the company is “not litigious” and has no issue with the band itself. The motion also says the company is not asking the band to change its setlist, politics, choreography or even its decision to put gun-toting performers onstage. It asks only that they not wear the uniform while doing it. But video from the Oct. 23 show appeared to show the dancers in similar uniforms again, after the filing. Spiro and a band representative did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment. The band is celebrating 20 years of “The Black Parade.” It is set to play the Hollywood Bowl again on Saturday, Oct. 24, and twice the next weekend. Should a band be allowed to use a famous uniform in its show? #MyChemicalRomance #dallascowboyscheerleaders #Hollywood #Star #Pro
