For me it was joining the army. There was only 1 other southern yt dude(I'm from Arkansas and he was from Mobile, AL), and the only dudes rockin with us was 2 black dudes and a puerto rican guy from philly. Those dudes showed me how much bs I was taught growing up. Started actually listening to the stories and reading up on things trying to get an understanding of what not being yt would mean. That's when "the privilege" I have revealed itself to me. I know I have more to work on. Can't unpack what is basically, my entire childhood over night.

man, you and I are proof that it ain't all of us, Its your video so say what you want but it's unfair to both you and I to say "white people" as if it's ubiquitous. im not accusing you of being a race traitor so don't take it that way if you can help it. I have never upheld a system that held other folk down, I fight like hell to be an advocate for oppressed people and it gets right under my skin when I'm automatically lumped in with a bunch of hood wearing nazis. I get it, ya never know with some people if they're going to try to harm you and when you see a pattern you guard against it instinctively, I don't blame them , but you know you're not hateful so you must know other white folk aren't either. I just really wish you'd make the distinction. besides that I really enjoy your takes on things so keep up the good work man

I find it quite sad when families have that type of racism ingrained in them. I had a martial arts teacher whose wife is of Okinawan heritage. My family and their's went to dinner together, that's when I found out my grandmother was racist. She glared at my teacher's wife throughout the dinner and later made the comment when they left that she'd "never forgive the Japanese for what the did at Pearl Harbor". Grandmother was born in 1925. What's even worse is the wife was born in Hawaii well after the war ended and her father was incarcerated in the internment camps after the attack on Pearl Harbor. I had no idea someone could hold a grudge on a group of people for that long. This took place about a decade ago, but it's still one of the most insane things I've witnessed someone say.

Same with people basically dog whistling that I’m a “race traitor.” Personally I love the term Caucacity/Caucasity. Happens all the time. Maybe it’s my autism, but I’m always so shocked some of the stuff white people do. Like the whole white people thinking it’s okay to touch a black person’s hair was genuinely shocking to me. Why the fuck would anyone think it’s okay just to touch someone’s body because you feel entitled to it. Absolutely wild.

I’m always so glad when I see stuff like this. I have never had people who say things like that in my life.

Agree and unrelated: just noticed your tattooed over the nip. Was it planned/encouraged or did you have thoughts? I just finished my sleeve and expanded onto my other pec. I find myself more nervous about pain but don’t think I could do purposeful avoidance

Never knew anything about white solidarity because I was the weird adhd kid in the 90s. But I let my actions speak for themselves and my peoples see real for what’s real.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen you do a video on this; but what does your tribal tattoo mean, if it means anything? It at least looks super tribal, and I’ve always been interested but literally never seen a video on it🤷🏾♂️🙌🏾💯

I went to family Christmas finner 2 years ago. Within the first 5 minutes my uncle (his house) said he thought his daughter's where to stupid to make decisions about their body or vote because they are women and women are too emotional (he really threw it all together here). I literally said "eww what the fuck" and just turned around and left. On my way out i made sure to tell his wife and three daughters what he said.

Idk what's up with my existence, but white people have hated me my entire life and idk why. I'm the most absurd statistical anomaly because there were kids with melanin that were actually accepted in my elementary school when I was treated like I was cancer incarnate.
Not that I'm complaining that those shitbags in this *bleach white school* didn't accept me, but I see such a weird contrast with everyone else's experience and mine. Idk what it is with me that has always made me a target even as an egg

white solidarity is such a joke, even when there is no obvious out group for them they'll make one.
