@usbuzzdaily: R.J. Decker Star Shares Her Shock After the Devastating Season Two Finale Cliffhanger The season two finale of ABC’s drama "R.J. Decker" just left fans with a massive cliffhanger. And the show’s star, Bevin Bru, admits she was just as shocked as the audience. During the intense finale, her character Mel was determined to keep the man she believed k*lled her former police partner in jail. She even confessed to planting evidence to make sure he stayed there. But the case took a shocking turn when investigators realized they had the wrong suspect. The innocent man had falsely confessed, and the real k*ller was actually the fallen officer’s own wife, Jessica. The devastating reveal rocked Mel, especially since she had spent the last decade supporting Jessica and her family. With no solid evidence to charge Jessica yet, Mel managed to have the woman’s daughter removed from her home. But the consequence of that choice set up the season’s terrifying final moments. Jessica retaliated by targeting Mel’s wife and daughter. The episode ended with the k*ller sitting right outside Mel’s house, watching her family, while Mel and R.J. desperately raced to stop her. Bru revealed she immediately called the showrunner after reading the script because the emotional stakes were so high. The actress said the final scenes gave her goosebumps, and she is holding out hope for a season three renewal just to have peace of mind that her on-screen family is safe.
