This beautiful client traveled from Kansas for a full hair color transformation. Her hair had been previously colored a very deep dark brown for many years, making this a highly technical and carefully planned process. I began with a trim and a refined, layered haircut, then prepped the hair using K18 Mist to repair and protect the hair before lightening. The hair was then fully foiled starting at the natural gray regrowth, using fine sections and Redken Blonde IQ 9+ with 20-volume developer. Foils were refreshed in warmer areas to ensure even lift, achieving a clean, pale blonde foundation. The hair was pre-toned with Redken Shades EQ 10T plus a drop of 10VV, then finalized with Pulp Riot Silver Speed Toner mixed 1:5 with 6-volume developer. After shampooing without conditioner, I applied the K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Mask, K18 Molecular Repair Hair Oil, and HeatBounce to restore strength and protect the hair. The client was sent home with K18 Leave-In Mask and HeatBounce for continued care.
