I switched from Dyson to shark. Shark is by fair superior. The only issue I noticed is that Dyson is more lightweight but I’ll happily deal with a slightly heavier item that cleans better

My genuine experience with Dyson and Shark really backs this up. I had both a Dyson V8 and a V11 and both of them dropped drastically in performance after roughly a year, even with routine cleaning of literally every accessible component. I've had my shark for 3 years now and it's still just as strong now as it was when I bought it. AND you can buy extra batteries to hot swap them out when they run flat from cleaning a very large house.
