An update on my flight attendant offer being rescinded by Delta Air Lines—and two things I want to make clear. First, I understand what “conditional” means. I understood that my offer depended on successfully completing the required pre-employment steps and training. I never believed being offered the position meant I was guaranteed the job. But understanding those conditions does not mean giving up my right to question how the decision was made. My concern is whether the information used was accurate, whether I had a meaningful opportunity to dispute it before a final decision, and whether the applicable notice and review requirements were followed. Repeating “it was conditional” does not answer those questions. Second, I know people will say, “Just move on.” I can move forward emotionally and still seek accountability. I can accept that a company no longer wants to employ me without accepting that its handling of my application was fair. I invested in this opportunity, completed the steps asked of me, and was selected by Delta’s own team. Expecting accuracy, communication, and fairness throughout that process is reasonable. I also know why other candidates stay quiet. When you’ve spent years trying to become a flight attendant—for some, nearly a decade—the possibility that speaking up could cost you opportunities elsewhere can feel more threatening than what happened in the first place. That fear should not be the price of pursuing your dream. I value integrity, and that includes advocating for myself even when silence might be more convenient. I’m speaking about my experience because candidates should be able to raise legitimate concerns without feeling like they’re putting their entire future in the industry at risk. #deltaairlines #jobofferrescinded #flightattendant #cjo #ethanlevy @delta
