@ssdtvnetwork: Shannon Sharpe Blasts Dr. Kecia Williams Smith Over N.C. A&T😳🤔 Nightcap’s planned Oct. 29 appearance at North Carolina A&T during GHOE was publicly announced, then canceled. A Timeout Sports Podcast Facebook post dated Oct. 28 promoted a Thursday event with Shannon Sharpe, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Joe Johnson; the page later showed an author update saying the event was canceled. That public sequence confirms a change in plans, but it does not explain why it happened. The cancellation drew notice because Nightcap had previously outlined an HBCU tour beginning at Prairie View A&M, with campus culture central to the concept. In the supplied Nightcap discussion, Sharpe said the show would not attend N.C. A&T after about 10 weeks of planning. He alleged that the production was told it would need to pay talent fees connected with the band, cheerleaders, fraternities and sororities. Sharpe also alleged that students could face suspension for engaging with the show, that the band was described as unavailable despite an email expressing interest, and that an unspecified fee had already been paid. He said the requests came from administration rather than the student groups and that Nightcap absorbed non-refundable room costs. No reviewed document independently verifies the alleged fees, discipline warning, payment, planning timeline or rationale, and no official N.C. A&T response was located in the public sources reviewed. Johnson said he was disappointed, praised North Carolina A&T homecoming and said he had looked forward to the visit. No source reviewed gives a public explanation for the reversal. The clearest takeaway is a confirmed cancellation alongside disputed accounts of why the Nightcap stop fell apart. #Nightcap #NCAT #GHOE #HBCU #ShannonSharpe
