Listen... you can still love him & chose yourself! Love doesn't just disappear... However, loving him from afar is the best you can do for someone who does not want to change.. You can not save him if he doesn't want to be saved.. Now you have to be your own hero & show your daughters & your sons what Love & Life is!! Trust me.... I know... I had to let go after 16 years & full of excuses 😪 I've been 3 years single & I can breathe, I don't have to think about coming home to see what kind of mood he is in, if he is drunk or high, mad or happy... Now I live in peace.. Am I lonely? At times.. Do I pray for what could have been.. Sometimes... But, in the end I finally realized I COULD NOT SAVE HIM... I SAVED ME INSTEAD [Red heart]

Love and cheer him on from a distance. The toxicity and back and forth isn’t good for your children. If you don’t do it for you, do if for them. You’ve got this! It’s hard to break a trauma bond. Have you considered therapy (don’t answer that as too personal), but just a thought!
